About the Featured tier

What Featured changes

On every /{trade}-in-{city} page where your listing appears, Featured contractors are pinned at the top of the results above the standard claimed and unclaimed listings. Your listing card carries a visible Featured badge (one of three trust signals on the card alongside the SSM checkmark and review count). Inside your profile, a contact form lets homeowners message you without leaving the directory.

The trade-off you accept: a 24-hour response SLA. Featured contractors who consistently breach the SLA (defined as >48 hours to first reply on three or more inquiries in a rolling 30-day window) are moved back to standard claimed tier. We do this without bias — the badge has to mean something for it to be worth paying for.

What Featured doesn’t do

• It doesn’t guarantee inquiries. We don’t throttle traffic to non-Featured listings, and we don’t fake-pad results.
• It doesn’t override search relevance. Within the Featured pin, listings are still ordered by suburb match and recency — we don’t do hidden auctions for the top slot inside Featured.
• It doesn’t hide unclaimed competitors. Auto-imported listings still appear below Featured/Claimed; we just badge them as Unclaimed.
• It doesn’t bundle suburb exclusivity. That’s the Premium tier (RM 299/month) — see the pricing comparison.

Pricing

• Monthly — RM 99/month. Cancel anytime, billing stops immediately, no refund for partial months.
• Annual — RM 990/year (two months free). Cancel anytime, no refund for unused months.

Featured requires that you’ve already claimed your listing (RM 99 one-time). Payment is via DuitNow QR direct to our business bank account, so no card data passes through this site.

When Featured pays back

We won’t pretend to know your numbers. The rough break-even on Featured is one inquiry per month that converts to one job — for most renovation trades, that’s a low bar. The risk is real: if the directory isn’t yet driving meaningful Penang search traffic in your trade, the Featured fee is wasted.

We’re building honest traffic reporting into your dashboard (impressions, profile views, contact clicks) so you can make the call after the first 30 days. If it’s not working, cancel — we’d rather lose RM 99/month than burn your trust.

Pre-launch: be the first Featured in your trade

Right now, no contractor has taken a Featured slot yet (the directory is in pre-launch). The first Featured listings in each trade get the badge while it’s still uncontested — meaningful for trades where there’s only one or two paid contractors visible in your suburb when homeowners start searching.
